A very important call to discernment....

I came across this series of videos over at SpeakingTruth's blog. I figured it was important enough to post here for those who are willing to see the truth and benefit, especially those who are like me who came dangerously close to being caught up in this web of deceit. However, through prayer and study of God's Word I came to see this movement for what it is---a different gospel. I think sometimes in our zeal for the  true experience of the living God, we risk also becoming prey to this movement which is very close to the  "charismatic" movement, although not necessarily inextricably linked. But it's sometimes hard to discern the two and sadly many of the outright heresies and falsehoods of the WoF are creeping into today's churches.

This young man, Justin Peters, is speaking to his alma mater at Southwestern Seminary about the dangers of the Word of Faith movement. His presentation is very precise and methodical and the truth he presents his much needed in today's christian circles. Much of this is what I have spent so much time trying to share with people regarding the dangers of this movement so I pray everyone will take a few moments and watch each video.

Strange STrange Fire!

Isn't it interesting to note that Jesus touched people and they stopped convulsing, they stopped screaming, they stopped violently writhing, and immediately they fell into a state of peace and healing.

These folks touch you and just the opposite occurs.

Surprising that we need to debate it any further with the folks lost in this web of deception.

Is all this a move of God? I BELIEVE THIS MOVE IS FROM GOD. AND THIS IS WHY...."The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. AND FOR THIS REASON GOD WILL SEND THEM STRONG DELUSION, THAT THEY SHOULD BELIEVE THE LIE..." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11

Yes, Folks, sometimes God's gives us the leaders we ask for and DESERVE.

False teachers in action....

Yes, i am well aware that I have dedicated a number of posts to the false teacher, Todd Bentley. However, i suspect his popularlity is already on the upswing (in proportion to the apostasy increasing in the 'church' at large these days). It is simply astounding how far the church has strayed from its foundations and how easily we are swept up in lying signs and wonders ---just as the Lord said would occur at the end of the age. The videos below show the false teachers in top form (do a search on most of these false prophets and "pseudo-apostles". ), giving "apostolic covering and anointing" to the false prophet Todd Bentley. Truly sad but worth a look to see how the deceived continue to deceive one another with a extra dose of "pride" thrown in. My brother IndependentConservative has a good post on this dark alliance at his site here: Dark Alliance of Todd Bentley's "commissioning" I suspect it won't be long until Todd will be flying around in private jets and driving in luxury cars and living in fine homes just like his predecessor Benny Hinn.

You would think these charlatans would be afraid to speak so presumptiously for the living God of the Universe. huh......not so much I guess.

For who's glory??? Obviously Todd Bentley's.....

Notice how often these type of "ministers" refer to themselves, or THEIR ministry, or THEIR abilities.....

A study in similarities? (Todd Bentley and Kundalini )

Very good video series by Final Trumpet on Youtube. Regardless of whether Bentley and crew KNOW what they are doing and where it comes from, the similarities are striking. I have been watching some of the "outpouring" at Lakeland and it simply AMAZES ME how little he actually expounds from the Word of God! Yet, people are so gullible and willing to suspend discernment and follow something so obviously "off kilter". Amazing.

More Lakeland "outpouring" (Todd Bentley) foolishness..

It's just so off the wall I feel foolish for even commenting on this ignorance. People really need to open their eyes. Bentley is at best a "doubletalking" deluded guy or at worst, a deceiver. Check out the videos below. In the first, Bentley goes on and on about a girl who supposedly has "come back from the dead"---killed by a seven headed voodoo/vampire. (ummm, no comment needed). And then, in the following video he gets all excited about a "prophecy" that Jesus was going to come "in person" and "set foot on the stage" of their outpouring. (kinda like Benny Hinn predicted a few years ago). Needless to say, when Bentley sees some of the dumbfounded, aghast faces after reading the "prophecy" he backtracks and says "well of course we don't mean Jesus is PHYSICALLY gonna appear" (well, Todd, what else does "IN PERSON" supposed to mean? is there another kind of "physical"??) And if he's trying to say it's more of a different Spirit (as in HOLY SPIRIT) that they're going to operate in, well what OTHER SPIRIT or SPIRITS have been operating at the "revival" up to this point???  What happens when Bentley (and many of those of the 'dominionist theology" beliefs) starts ranting about "the glory" and this "kingly anointing", see, many of Bentley's ilk really believe that Jesus' Second Coming is actually going to really be "manifested" through the church---as they grow in power and "anointing" and "glory"---to form a sort of "cosmic second coming of Christ" (I actually heard Mark Hanby preach this heresy at New Birth shortly before I broke outta there years ago).

Newsflash, the Bible says that this world is going to become darker and darker spiritually as we approach the end of this age--with spiritual deception in full swing (including lying signs and "wonders"). There is also going to be a great "apostasy" or falling away, NOT some great "revival" in which the church becomes the fulfillment of Christ's second Coming. Read your Bible folks. You'd be amazed at what's REALLY in there.

Swimming upstream (the tide for Obama continues)...

You ever feel like you're swimming against a mighty stream? No matter how much you know you should be going in one direction, it seems the vast majority of society is headed in the other? That's sort of how it feels with all the Obama-worship going on these days. It is actually almost frightening---the ignorance people have what this man stands for. Sure, he seems nice enough and some even think he gives a good speech (although when you catch him talking without the teleprompter, that point is debatable).

As you may well be aware, I don't particularly care for any of the candidates this year--McCain, Clinton, or Obama. I guess it boils down to the fact that it's rare for a candidate to be consistent with my beliefs as a Christian. Of course as people like to say, "there will never be a perfect candidate". True enough. But when you research the candidates' platforms and you find that they are either DIAMETRICALLY opposed to what God says CLEARLY in His word on a number of issues; or they are guilty of only giving 'lip-service' to certain Christian beliefs and turn out to be the exact opposite (a la George Bush).

What i really find disconcerting is the degree to which many "Christian" supporters (particularly of this relative unknown, Obama) are willing to suspend discretion and blindly follow. And not only follow him, but practically elevate him to the level of DEITY. Everybody screams "change" yet few really know what KIND of change is likely in store. I am not surprised that many in the Jewish community (especially in Israel itself) are very nervous about an Obama presidency. Many of Obama's closest advisors have made anti-semitic statements or support more of dividing Israel again and again in a misguided effort to accomodate the terrorist groups that surround her. But then, why should I be surprised? The Jews are certainly not strangers to being betrayed, maligned, or scapegoated.

I have previously blogged on the fallacy of "black liberation theology". An indepth study of this heresy will quickly show that such teaching is NOT truly a Biblical worldview--rather it masquerades as "christian". Newsflash, people: God is above ALL of our races, cultures, ethnicities and one is either a true believer and Christian or one is not. If so, one's doctrine (which Paul said we SHOULD guard closely) MUST square up with God's revealed word. The blatherings of Jeremiah Wright??? ehhh, not so much. Where is the preaching of the cross/crucifixion of Jesus? Where is the call to personal repentance and holiness? Where is the exposition and exegesis of the Scripture? Where is the call to sanctification? Nevertheless, that theological diet is what Obama fed himself on steadily for 20 years. No wonder he has such a low view of Scripture (as a little research into his statements about the Bible will indicate.)

McCain? not much better. He runs on a platform of "character" and heroism yet see the articles on how he dumped his first wife and married the trophy he parades around now. Not to mention his waffling on abortion and homosexual marriage. Even his army colleagues say that he really was not very courageous while in captivity. That's why they called him "the songbird" because he was so afraid of being tortured that he began spilling secrets/information almost immediately. Hmmmm, President McCain? Lord help.

Then people are "tired" of hearing about abortion. But as one blogger put it, that is in itself a LIFE issue and if a candidate can't get it right on the basic/fundamental issue of LIFE (yet calls himself a Bible believing Christian) what else is misguided on. People should research Obama's stance on (and rejection of) the "Born Alive Act". That is an atrocity that astounds the mind---if one is willing to see the obvious.

The links here say it better than I can. Idolatry of Obama Continues and Evangelical Leaders meet with Obama  Hat tip to IndependentConservative and Ingrd from Slice of Laodicea. I wonder if anyone will watch. Will anyone care? Will it make a difference? Or are we destined to continue down the road to moral compromise, moral relativism, i.e. continue down "the broad road". I guess it's inevitable. The 'mistakes' and fallacies of the Bush terms have no doubt set us up to be willing to accept anything---inexperience, uncertainty, doublespeak, opposition to the Bible, socialistic policies,  etc etc ----all in the name of "change".

Anyway, I've rambled enough....I gotta go rest my arms to get ready to keep swimming upstream.

The shade of things to come...

With ALL of the current political candidates firmly in the pocket of the globalist agenda (Obama, McCain, and Clinton)....it certainly is interesting to hear the rumblings from the very charismatic Tony Blair referring to his efforts to bring all religions of the world together as one.

Hmmm, God once again predicted the end from the beginning. How we get to that point is going to be one wild ride for sure. But rest assured, we WILL get there.
