False revival in full swing (Todd Bentley in action)....

Ok, I guess it's time to address this foolishness here on the blog. I've tried to ignore it in hopes that maybe it would 'vanish' or go ignored by the saints. But apparently, the "church folk" are falling for this in droves and i suspect in won't be long before this false teacher has more visibility (probably on the likes of TBN) and more folk following after him, ala Benny Hinn.

Below is a tool of the enemy, Todd Bentley, who is leading what many are calling "revival" down in Lakeland Florida. There are clips galore on youtube and it is currently being broadcast nightly on GodTV. This man is DANGEROUS and should be avoided. He is in the same pattern as the foolishness that was going on a few years ago in Toronto where people where rolling around on the floor, barking like dogs, and clucking like chickens---all supposedly under the "unction of the Holy Spirit". This is not of God. And this fellow obviously wants to be a "modern day Benny Hinn" with the supposed "testimonies of miracles, healings" in his meetings right out of the Benny Hinn playbook.  Do a little research on him however, and you will find (if you are honest) something about him just is not right---and i'm not referring to the worldly tattoos etc covering his body. He LOVES to go on and on and on ad nauseum about "angelic visitations' and trips to "the heavenlies" that he's supposedly experienced. Whether these are the typical charismatic "embellishments" or actual spiritual encounters i do not know. What i Do know is that he is a prime example of Colossians 2:18 "for such a one loves to go on and on about angelic visitations and things he has seen and heard".....basically from his own mind. Meanwhile, droves and droves of people are flocking to "get some of this" and take it back to their churches. (Saints, that statement in and of itself should set off alarms. We do not need to "go get some of the Holy Spirit and take it somewhere else).

The first video is of Bentley and his fellow cohorts in one of their "outpourings of drunkenness', supposedly under the unction of Holy Spirit. The other is a testimony from Bentley's own mouth about how he was possessed by demons AFTER HE WAS A CHRISTIAN (HELLO????? again, **insert alarm bells here**). There are numerous sites exposing this charlatan but of course, many fail to open their eyes and see the shenanigans for what they are.  You likely will see and hear more from him in the near future (as they have plans to expand this "move of God" to various cities including Atlanta). Time to open your Bibles and draw close to the true and Living God. The apostasy is in FULL SWING. And the 'church' is swallowing it hook, line, and sinker.

What is God?

A very good video by our brother over at youtube, venomfangx, answering one of the hostile atheists blogging over there. Oh, that most Christians today could answer (or would even TRY to answer) the searching questions, arguments, and even hostilities of the lost.

Music that says something....

What can I say?? I have a wide variety of musical tastes, one of which is the stirring music of the Gaithers (you've no doubt flipped past one of their musical gatherings on television at some point). They tend to sing music with beautiful harmonies/melodies and meaningful lyrics (especially their interpretation of hymns). While I can definitely appreciate 'vocal skill', we should always keep in mind that it doesn't always take the vocal 'gymnastics' to minister. Anyway, enjoy the clips below. (especially enjoy the powerful lyrics)

Only Two Religions!

As you can tell from my posts, I believe John MacArthur is a one of the most faithful preachers/teachers of the Word of God in our day and time (under appreciated by most). This video (a short 6 minutes) makes it as plain as the hand in front of your face. There are really only TWO religions. Period. Yes, many may SOUND good. Many may SEEM more palatable to our human thinking but the reality is  God HIMSELF has accomplished our redemption (through the cross of Christ). All else that systems (and "religious gurus") seek to add are human inventions that 'pretend' that there is something within US that can accomplish what only God could do. Watch as MacArthur makes it plain.

A 'prophetic' presidency.....

I hate the political season (in particular the PRESIDENTIAL political election season). Why? Because inevitably everyone "chooses sides" for their favorite candidate who most likely has promised the moon----yet rarely, if ever, deliver.

With that said, something seems to be 'sticking in my craw' about this year in particular. It seems most people are actually blind to the "big picture." Everyone (predicably) has taken to their respective candidates' corners---with little to NO thought being given as to where we are on God's prophetic timeline.

I realize that very few Christians are "prophecy watchers" anymore (which is tremendously sad). But things are taking shape on the prophetic horizon almost daily and FEW IF ANY CHRISTIANS are taking notice. I won't list all those occurrences in this post but just TODAY an article was published in Jerusalem indicating Bush has plans to gather an Arab summit TO DIVIDE JERUSALEM when he attends the 60th anniversary of Israel's "re-creation" as a nation this month. The prophetic implications are ASTOUNDING!

Who hasn't heard of the "swarms of earthquakes" occuring out west as we speak. Contrary to how earthquakes 'typically' occur---from greater to lesser---these quakes appear to be BUILDING strength and have scientists very concerned that a major quake is in the offing!!

So what does this have to do with a prophetic presidency? Well, with everything that is taking shape (according to Scripture) in the middle East concerning Israel and her enemies and the LIKELIHOOD that this year will be a "democratic year". It is almost blatantly obvious that the new president will likely turn out NOT to be a true friend of Israel as her enemies are plotting for her destruction despite much rhetoric to the contrary. (Recall  even the anti-NAFTA statements by Obama---portraying one image in a debate vs. a different PRO-NAFTA message to Canada in the days afterward).  This sounds eerily familiar to the Gog/Magog scenario in Ezekiel in which other nations just "stand by" while a Russion/Iranian/Arab alliance comes against Israel. I even heard a caller on a morning radio show today JUBILANT over the Obama win in North Carolina ecstatically proclaiming that "we're gonna be outta Iraq before you know it as soon as he wins!!" The host then challenged the caller," and what will happen to Iraq?"  The caller: "we both know what's gonna happen when we pull out. Iraq will disintegrate into three sects--Sunni, Shiite, and Kurd with about 25,000 people killed in the violence".....The host: "and what will that mean for the Middle East and Israel???" The caller: "well, if i were living in Tel Aviv i'd get out".

  SIMPLY ASTOUNDING!

It's hard to imagine a "war hero" such as McCain simply allowing such an attack on Israel to occur without an appropriate U.S. intervention. Democrats?? not so much. This is not a 'slight' to the democrats, just a reality of their strong "anti-war at ALL cost" mentality (especially in the light of the unpopularity of the conflict in Iraq). In combination with the fervent cry to "get out of Iraq now", the likely democrat president will almost ASSUREDLY not intervene in any Mid-East conflict in the near future. Prophetic indeed.

And should McCain somehow manage to 'squeak' into office, will his age/health become an issue? (remember the sudden 'fall' of Israel's Ariel Sharon);  will a democratic congress tie his hands?

Yes, things are certainly taking shape under our noses daily. And NOT MANY are watching (though we are commanded by Jesus to do so). But hey, as long as "my candidate" or "my party" wins in November, what does it matter right???

Prophetic indeed.
