Jterry over on youtube has a good clip of the misguided 'notions' of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Check out the video below. It's always good to keep oneself armed with the TRUTH so that when error comes knocking on your door you will spot it quickly!

There have been MANY MANY posts throughout the internet world warning people of Oprah's New Age philosophy. Unfortunatley, many people cannot see the spiritual danger because Oprah is such a charismatic and 'giving' person. Her generous predisposition is well publicized (sometimes by Oprah herself) and in the media. And she is a powerful, successful black woman. However, she is also one of the most spiritually dangerous people around these days, primarily because she has SO MUCH influence over people---black and white. If Oprah endorses a book etc, it skyrockets to number one. And over the last few years she has gotten more and more open about her "New Age" spirituality/philosophy. Sadly, Oprah has apparently bought into the foolish thinking that if we seek to relate to God and understand Him as He has revealed himself in scripture, then that is somehow "putting God in a box"......not realizing that "opening her mind to the bigness of god etc etc" has ALSO opened her up to other WINDS OF DOCTRINE that are warned about in Scripture. This is PRECISELY why God WARNS US repeatedly NOT TO GO BEYOND SCRIPTURE! It is in the authority and sure word of God that God is revealed. And if you watch the video clip below, Oprah reveals that she has a completely MISUNDERSTOOD perception of Jesus. Jesus did NOT come to this earth to "show us christ-consciousness( a very typical new-age term by the way). But rather, Christ came to this earth to sacrifice for sin and reconcile man to God. Plain and simple. Jesus did something that we could not do by our own efforts, by our own "consciousness', by our own "good works"......He satisfied God's requirement of perfection and holiness and gave us HIS foreign righteousness for our UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
I must admit this video made me very sad for Oprah because as she states, she was raised in church and unfortunately she apparently never came across a preacher or sunday school teacher who could answer her questions about spirituality and God. No one ever explained to her that God is indeed jealous but he is "jealous FOR us" not jealous OF us. And that is because HIS love is so VASTLY PERFECT, COMPLETE and HOLY----He will not share that with lesser idols (of our own making or of the demonic kind). Meanwhile, Oprah continues down the broad path to destruction with literally MILLIONS happily and merrily following behind her.
Pastor Foster's blog has some good lists of what many bloggers are saying about Obama's recent comments regarding his LOW view of scripture---or should i say certain scriptures (notably Romans). I'm sure you've heard by now his comments regarding how he reconciles his faith with homosexual marriage (or civil unions) and referring to the passage in Romans about homosexuality as "obscure"......below is a list of what bloggers are saying about Obama's misguided "insights".....(interesting how Obama can present himself as a 'devout Christian' and then speak TOTALLY against Scripture and Biblical authority in THE SAME SPEECH.....yet he has many in the church "singing his praises (see the video by John p. Kee). Should be troubling to any OBJECTIVE observer.

I think these should give you an idea of the concensus (at least among some bloggers) regarding Obama's misuse and mischaracterization of the Lord's Word. Decide what you think but at least be informed and not caught up in the hysteria.
