Obama's pastor in full (anti)Christian mode.....
Aside from disagreeing with politics of both the socialistic leaning Obama and the power hungry liberal Hillary (as well as the soft on border security McCain), Is this what one would want as a Pastor? Does this reflect Christian character? And is this what the Lord intended to be coming from the pulpits? I hardly think so. I just don't see the fruit of the Spirit reflected in this at all. And it should at the very least be disturbing that Obama calls this man a spiritual "mentor" and advisor (who also baptized his children) because while i can disagree with someone's erroneous views and statements, I would definitely NOT sit under their spiritual teaching/tutelage for over TWENTY YEARS! Not good. But then, Oprah calls this church home as well (and THAT speaks VOLUMES).

Eric you and the rest of the people that judge Pastor Wright on that clip can now do what's right and go to youtube and listen to entire sermon.
I wonder how many Christian are going to do it then come back and blog about the truth.

Ann,
I will certainly take a listen to the whole sermon. And perhaps my point is missed in my brief blog on the controversy. However, my point, is that I don't think such rantings have a place coming from the pulpit. Wright is correct in his assessment that America has done bad things in the past (what nation hasn't). But America has also done more good than probably any nation on earth as well over the course of her history. And while she should be called on the carpet when she is wrong, where is the 'ministry of reconciliation' that Christ says that we as His ambassadors are to have? Where is the fruit of the Spirit in Wrights' rantings? Where is love? Where is gentleness? Where is patient? Where is self-control?
If i were an unsaved person sitting in his audience would I be introduced to the Spirit of Christ or would I leave "pissed off" at the United States?

What does Hillary not being called the N-word have to do with my salvation?
Does cussing at America make people want to confess their sins and live their life for God?
I can "SOMEWHAT" understand where he is coming from, BUT I think you said it best. Where is SELF-CONTROL, LOVE, AND PATIENTS?
