Who do you believe, Oprah or Jesus?

As much as most of us like her personality and generosity, Oprah adheres to a different way of salvation than what Jesus espoused. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the light. No man comes to the Father except through Me." And Jesus also said, "He that has not the Son, has not the Father."  If there were truly "many paths" to some nebulous, 'force' called God (or "the light", the "energy" or whatever...) then why did Jesus HAVE to accomplish the atonement through His sacrificial death on the cross? God would have been the ultimate sadist if mankind could have "eventually found his own way back to reconciliation with God anyway".....there would have been no need for Christ to suffer the agonies of the cross if everybody's "own path to God" lead to salvation ultimately anyway.

Yes, we all wonder about such philosophical questions as "what about those who have never heard" etc etc.. but our duty is to share the good news---- that God has provided a way of escape from the judgement that ALL fallen men deserve. And that way of escape is only through his son, Jesus Christ. It is through repentance and trusting Christ that we are saved. Beyond that, we must know and believe that God, the great Judge of the whole universe, will "do right" when He judges mankind---and everyone that stands before Him will be without excuse--whether that person violated his own 'conscience' of knowing right from wrong, or did not respond to whatever understanding he was given. Contrary to our modern opinions on "fairness", it is not "unfair" that God would not save EVERY human on the face of the earth. What is amazing is that God condescends to save ANY!! (especially when He is under NO obligation to do so in the first place.)

I don't know about you, but I'll believe Jesus. Sorry Oprah, can't go with you on this one.

Making it plain and simple....

Here are some clips of Kirk Cameron ("Growing Pains") and Ray Comfort at work  doing serious evangelism. In this day when the moral law of God is no longer used to awaken the unbeliever/sinner to their true state before God; when pulpit "preachers" are forever focusing on selfishness and material gain in this world or telling fallen man that he is "god"; it's refreshing to see the Gospel clearly presented--concisely, humbly, and earnestly to those that think they are right with God in their own eyes (or feel they have no need for Him). May God help us all to so boldly proclaim the truth to the lost (and leave the "results" to Him) before the hour of judgement which God assures us will come to us all.
